SARA COLLINS, LAT, ATC, CPT
INJURY PREVENTION SPECIALIST
Sara joined The Micheli Center with a wealth of experience from her previous positions. After graduating from the University of Maine she began her work as an athletic trainer in a private physical therapy practice working in post-operative and athletic rehabilitation. She then moved onto Newton-Wellesley Hospital where she worked as an orthopedic physician extender and clinical fitness specialist specializing in bariatrics, cancer, cardiopulmonary and injury prevention for all ages before coming to the center full time. She is also the athletic trainer for Babson College’s rugby programs as well as their club ice hockey teams.
In addition to being a certified athletic trainer, Sara is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and an American Cancer Society Cancer Exercise Specialist. She is also a yoga instructor and is currently pursuing her certification in Medical Therapeutic Yoga. Sara grew up studying dance and as a competitive swimmer. She continues to study dance, practices yoga, snowboards and has completed both the Boston and Chicago marathons in 2014.
