RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIST

Matt attended the University of New Hampshire and earned his Master of Science degree in kinesiology with a focus in exercise science and biomechanical analysis. While attending UNH, he authored a master’s thesis project titled “Acute effect of dynamic and gluteal resistance exercise warm-up protocols on lower extremity jump landing mechanics in college-aged females.” Prior to attending UNH, Matt completed his bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he completed an internship with The Micheli Center’s injury prevention specialist team during his senior year. Matt has worked as a strength coach in a number of facilities across Massachusetts over the past decade, working with a variety of populations ranging from high school basketball athletes to older adults with neurological disorders.

Matt holds certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Level 1 Weightlifting Coach from USA Weightlifting, and as a Level 1 Nutrition Coach from Precision Nutrition. He is also CPR/AED certified through the American Heart Association.
