Jessie Oldham is a post-doctoral research fellow at The Micheli Center, under the direction of Dr. William Meehan III, and a lead research technologist in the Division of Sports Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Oldham completed her undergraduate education at North Carolina State University in 2011, with Bachelor of Science degrees in biology and nutrition. She was also a university scholar athlete as a member of NC State’s cheerleading team. She completed her master’s degree in kinesiology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2014 where she also received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award. Dr. Oldham received her PhD in applied physiology from the University of Delaware in May 2018. During her doctoral career, she was a finalist for the NATA Foundation Doctoral Student Award, an American Kinesiology Association scholar, and the University of Delaware Exercise Science Outstanding Graduate Student Award winner. Her primary research focus is sport-related concussion and postural control. A native of North Carolina, Jessie is a big college sports and Carolina Panthers fan. She has two cats, Onyx and Talley, and loves to travel as much as she can in her spare time.
