What quote do you live by?
When life puts you in tough situations, don’t say why me, just say try me.
Any specific exercises you perform religiously?
Squats, definitely. They are a great exercise to develop and work major muscle groups. They’re great for injury prevention (knee stability and hip movement), but the key is that they have to be done right. They are a great functional exercise.
Why is injury prevention important to you?
Injuries take away from your athletic performance. If you’re injured, you can’t participate in your sport.
What brought you to the Micheli Center?
I grew up playing sports and I’ve always had an athletic base. I’ve been lifting weights since I was 12 years old. I found exercise science in college and enjoyed combining all of those things, so I decided that I wanted to do this as a profession.
Why do you like working here?
I love training athletes, and I also enjoy working with injuries and sports medicine. I’m kind of a ‘muscle-y athletic’ nerd. I like applying my passions to my job here at The Micheli Center.
